Bill Fairlamb and Sue O'Brien arrived at The Sun Inn from West Sussex on 25th March 2008 with a dream to create the perfect country pub and restaurant. With Bill's background in construction and property development (as well as a good stint in the Royal Navy) and Sue's in catering it is the perfect partnership to develop The Sun to its full potential. The Landlord  Bill's technical skills and enthusiasm for beer ensure our real ales are some of the best kept in the area. Twin passions of gardening and shooting means that the outside of the pub and the garden are well kept and chocolate box pretty all year round, with fresh seasonal game on the menu, usually from local estates. The Landlady Sue's catering experience ranges from formal banquets for royalty all the way through to picnic lunches for children. Her special interest is wine which is reflected In the décor of the restaurant and an extensive wine list.
Sue has both Basic and Higher Wine and Spirit Education Trust certificates and will happily assist you with food and wine pairings.
